I know very little about these coins but I do know the other "trade dollars" (English and US) are extremely counterfeited. Are these high enough in price that they are counterfieted as well or are these cheaper in cost? If so, $4.00 is a great deal... point me in the direction of that dealer!

I know very little about this series but I have not read anything about these being counterfited. I don't have my Krause with me so I am not sure what the collector value would be.

I got very lucky on this one from a local auction. It seems every other person just "missed" seeing it and i was the only bidder.

Nose effaced but that is so common on these.
