What They Show You

A current and continuing gripe of mine is image quality of sellers.

Not necessarily just eBay but, well for instance, I was trolling the wares of one of the companies that advertise on this site.
The first coin viewed was priced at $59,000 and the image was blurry. Words almost fail me...

Are we to assume a company with $3M in inventory can't perform this basic function properly?
Are we to assume purposeful blurr?

I thought in 2009 we were past almost anyone's inability to image coins. I mean, if you're in the biz...image

I agree, any company that sells coins must have a good imager on staff. One thing I've noticed with NEN is their images have gotten a lot better since they hired a new imager.

  • I came across a site or two that won't even bother posting pictures for a coin of less than $200. I can't buy a coin sight-unseen, and often won't send a reuest as they don't always respond. image

That's just insane. $59k and they can't spend 5 minutes to take a decent picture. At that price I'm guessing it's slabbed though, and the plastic probably matters more than the coin...

I have to admit I'm guilty of not having all the coins on my sales list imaged.. I'm getting around to it though, slowly. But if you request pics I will respond, promise! image
