I'm so offended by this thread that I could spit.

    Seriously, I really am.

You see, I've signed up for the MS150 Houston to Austin ride in April. I've been busting my hump for the last 2 months and will continue doing so for another 3 1/2 months. ALL donations go directly to MS; not red cent goes into my account.

It's now become personal to me... Our team captains have put together a few meetings in which we meet the people we are riding for. From a teenager to a successful business man, both striken out of the blue with zero family history. I've shook hands with many that are in various stages of MS and to see it first hand, the heart strings get pulled to say the least.

I really am disgusted reading what transpired. In this economy, it's hard enough to get people to open their wallets to a worthy cause. If anyone is using it as an excuse to fatten their wallet, I will gladly forward anything to the national MS chapter and have them take a look.

As a side note, if anyone is interested in donating to the cause, please send me a PM. I'm planning on starting my donation drive within the next week or two.

May the offender develop an incurable case of hemroids.

  • you guys are not getting the MS thing.. i put the donations thing in my tag line so if by chance anyone donated, the money would have been given to MSAA. no one ever donated.

you guys are taking this all wrong.

i was baned from the boards because of comments i made at PSA/DNA.. NOT because of any wrong doing!

Why can't you understand that no one wants to hear your opinions or feedback on any topic right now. I suggest you just go away for a while and come back at a later date when all the dust has settled and you can prove that you've matured to the level of a normal human.

Who said you got banned for wrong doing?

We all know you got banned from here because you bashed PSA
regarding their mistake with the Hayes card.

The question remains, you stated here you never received any MS donations through
your paypal account YET in a post over at net 54 you claimed that you did.

So which is it? Were you lieing then or are you lieing now?

    Good for you.

The sad thing about all this is had Brian created this thread first he may have
gotten the intended results. I have to believe that most here would have accepted it.
However, because he only created this thread after
he was outed and then lied in the process it only added fuel to the fire.

I for one would have been more inclined to accept an apology if it was sincere and
    was his first thread back.

While I'm disgusted by the MS/Paypal issue...I'm even more disgusted by the fact that he seems to think we're a bunch of fools here. He got trapped in his lies and rather than simply telling the truth, he just keeps spinning.

Actually sending out the gift that he agreed to send when he signed up for the secret santa would be a step in the right direction. It's the simplest of tasks. He has had the time and money to purchase cards on eBay, but he hasn't taken the time to fulfill his obligations here. Even upon his return, he went from saying, "i now have everything in order, and that will be taken care of this week." to needing Matt to resend him his recipient's information. Which is it? Either he's got everything in order and he's taking care of it or he's not.

Brian, I'd suggest not posting again unless or until you send his gift and be sure to include a scan of the DC.

  • This guy is a crook for sure. After he didnt get what he wanted from PSA way back and he put the Hayes card on ebay at $4,000 (for a worthless card) with half going to MS, he was simply using a charity to further his own benefit. How sad. Please go away.

Doe anyone have links that show his previous auctions claiming that proceeds went to MS? If so, please post them and I'll forward to the appropriate parties.

  • << <i>90% of the price will now go the the MS foundation. After eBay fees, i will get what a real Frank Hayes signed card is worth.. about $250. so this auction is not greed, you will help a great cause, and you can do what you wish with the card. >>

So he still would have received the original $250 he was trying to get for the card if someone had purchased it IF he had actually sent $3600 to the MS foundation.

Were you I was diagnosed with MS in August of last year? According to the auction:

"I was diagnosed with MS on Aug. 1st 2008, so this is a cause close to my heart."

And then you added the following comments:

<< <i>On Jan-06-09 at 08:14:32 PST, seller added the following information:

75 percent of this auction price will go to the MS charity, that equals $3000.

Again, it does not really matter to me if this card is sold or not, this is up to sell the Ruth reprint and to make people aware that PSA/DNA is not the be all.. end all that many people swear it is in teh authentication business.

On Jan-06-09 at 08:48:27 PST, seller added the following information:

  • Stown,

He originally had another auction which was pulled for being fraudulent, Thanks to myself and others.

He also changed the percentage amount several times while the Auction was live.

I thought items that were sponsored by said charity had the amount automatically deducted from the sales price, without fees?

    edited for spelling

If that is the case, the concern here would be any potential "donations" he has received outside of eBay, and that could be harder to prove.

Ok, so can we add shiller to this guy's list of problems?

Run an advanced search on eBay for osocards, including completed auctions, and you will find:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330299110296

    seller: cardsbysgc
    buyer: osocards

btw, I can't imagine that PSA will be really happy that you are using that Frank Hayes card as your avatar on your cardsbysgc account, or that you have 2 reviews out on eBay regarding the card.

I really don't think he realizes he's a scam artist...he's in total denial. I'd like to say having the evidence laid out for the world to see will give him a clue, but, sadly, we know it won't. People like that are addicted to what they do...but I bet this is giving him a fresh perspective on how he's been acting in recent times, if not his entire life. It'll just get chunked into the clueless file and the pattern will repeat itself though.

edited to add...anyone remember this thread?

I'll quote it just in case it disappears...

<< <i>Bob feller just signed a few items for me to sell to raise money for MS research. if you guess the final price within $5 and do not go over, you win.. win what you ask.. well, i sill send the winner a Bob feller signed card.

The auction is 1 lot.. it includes 20 signatures:

    12 Indians Logo Baseballs signed
    5 Hats Signed
    3 Signed Cards

What will the lot end for?

****Well, it looks like there is no winner.. everyone went over. The final bid as a measly $152.50 but het,. it will all go to MS research, so it is greatly appreciated.**** >>

I thought Bob signed all those balls for charity? I see no mention of that in this particular shilled auction.

    Description (revised)

Hello, i have had a 2 year friendship with Hall Of Fame member Bob Feller. He has signed these 12 Indians logo baseballs for me. I will include a picture from the signing as a COA.
As you know, Bob just celebrated his 90th birthday, and he is doing great. Bob is the senior member of the HOF. >>

That is very cool. If you are reading this Brian, are you friends with any other HOF's? I could use some autographs. image
