2009 Am EAGLE SIlver DOLLAR ERROR ??????

I am curious if any one else has noticed that the recently releases or first strike 2009 American Eagle Silver Dollars all have tails on the U's but in the preliminary pictures from the goverment and some others selling them online they do NOT have the tails on the U's. Please let me know if anyone has ever seen any of the tailless U's in person and held them in hand ! Thanks in advance !! Dan

    Yes I knew there was some varieties in the 2008 but I am referring to the 2009 the ones that just came out !

    The change occurred in 2008. All of the 2009's should be the reverse of 2008 (with the tail on the U). The photos you are seeing are of the reverse of 2007. My guess is that they (especially the US Mint) are using the photos incorrectly. image
