10 oz silver - good deal or not?

I haven't bought much silver & gold, but I got some A-Mark 10 ounce bars for $130. I thought this was pretty good since spot is $11.20. How did I do?

    That sounds about right.
Depending on where you bought them, I've heard talk of some pretty excessive shipping charges.

that is about the going rate right now.
anything under a 2.00 premium is pretty good.
try to keep an eye out for 1.50 or less.. as that represents the better
    bargain at the moment.
  • That's a fair price I went to the Fargo coin show today and there was a dealer who had 12 A-Mark 10 oz. bars for sale at $130, I wound up buying a 100 oz. JM bar from him for $1200.
Another dealer had some odd .999 stuff like troy 1/2 and 1 pound walking liberty coins, 2 1987 Bermuda Isle of Man 10 oz. coins with a mintage of 5,000, 3-5 oz. coins depicting a Franklin half dollar, $20 saint gaudens and a Thomas Jefferson coin but probably the neatest coin was a troy pound big chief silver pound coin with a mintage of 2500 (the coin I got had a serial # 0078 stamped into the side) I got these for silver spot $11.22 an ounce.
  • Were they the new A-mark bars or the old stackable bars?
    Its all relative

They were the brand new prooflike bars.
