I have a really stupid question but can't figure it out...help!

Hi everyone,

Was getting some cards together for a January special submittal and ran into a snag. I have never submitted any 55 or 56 Topps baseball before and when I tried to put the cards in the penny sleeves (Ultra Pro 2 5/8 x 3 1/2) they are so snug that I can't get them in??? Do I need a different brand?? Are these cards slightly larger than cards from the 60s??

Thanks to all!

Jeff

  • First try clipping the corner off the sleeve and seeing if it will go then. Most should, but you may have one that needs to go in the cardsaver without one.

The best pitch to start a hitter off with is always strike one.
  • You need oversize penny sleeves.Ultra Pro used to sell them but I am not sure if they still do.

I have never used penny sleeves with my submissions. Straight into card savers.

  • The lack of penny sleeves will not delay the order. IMO it is actually safer for the cards. It's one less obstacle for the grader.
  • I agree with others I also normally do not use penny sleeves... I think PSA just recommends them.

On a side note I would still like to know what the heck PSA does with all the used Card Savers and Penny Slevees!!!

Don't they sell CS1's? If not they should recycle them and sell them for about half price compared to other retailers.
