PSA/DNA results

Hi,

I wondering if anyone here can clarify the differences between the following PSA/DNA indicators -

"questionable"
"not likely authentic"
"unable to determine authenticity"

So I am guessing "not likely authentic" is basically PSA/DNA saying it's probably not real

What about "questionable"? Does that mean that they are not sure and to be on the safe side they rather not holder? I appreciate if PSA/DNA can comment on this. Thanks

Austin

Has questionable replaced "unable to render opinion"?

Do they now charge you even if they can't give you an opinion? They used to refund your money
  • No refund.

It's a little comforting if I know that they simply just don't know rather than condemning a legitimately authentic auto.

They seem to be used almost interchangeably. No authentication service can come right out and condemn an autograph because there could be legal ramifications for a mistake. And mistakes are made all the time. It is easier to fail one than to take a chance on passing something that might not be good.
