I JUST JOINED PSA

Well ... after collecting for ~25 years ... having my '68 set as high as #12 on The Registry ... I FINALLY JOINED!

I spent about 4 or 5 hours going thru some raw stuff and came up with a total of 58 cards ... 21 on the $6 special and 37 on the $5 special. There are only 14 cards post 1979 in the group.

I have all of them in Card Saver I holders. Now I have to go print the forms (I think someone posted a Link for a submission form if you have more than 15 cards ... I'll have to go find it) and then figure out how I have to list the cards ... then put the submission numbers on the back of each holder ... figure out shipping costs and insurance ... pack 'em up and mail them tomorrow.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO MAIL THEM? FED EX OVERNIGHT OR USPS REGISTERED MAIL? SOMETHING ELSE?

ALL suggestions greatly appreciated!

  • USPS Priority with delivery confirmation will suffice. Mine usually arrive within 3 days that way.

Good luck on your grades! I'd mail them USPS Registered with insurance, it's probably the slowest method, but also generally the safest. Your insurance rates with registered will be a lot less as well than they would be if you just sent them insured, non registered once you go over a certain $$ threshold.

I would send registered and insured when I had a high declared value for all the submissions. (takes a while to go across the country)

When I would send in a submission with a low declared value, I would send priority and insured.

Here are a few of the newer cards I'm sending in. The '83 Topps Sandberg is AWESOME looking ... (It looks like something on the top of the card in the scan ... just dust from the scanner) ... I'm keeping my fingers crossed on that one!
