Quick Question for you U.S. Folks: Does Costco sell cards?

They don't here in Canada (that I've seen) but I was wondering if they sell 'em in the U.S. Costcos. Thanks in advance.

I live on Long Island (New York) and have not seen any at the Costco that I go to.

  • You'd think they'd sell cases to variety store owners and whatnot. Guess that's the old days though.
I remember as a 13 year old going into warehouse supply stores with my tax form and buying cases of OPC.

On the other hand, I went into a crappy variety store near my house the other day and noticed a plexiglass case full of unopened packs of Topps baseball, football and some OPC hockey along with some Magic the Gathering cards and some non-sport stuff. Some guy around Toronto must be supplying it to the variety stores. But at $2.50 a pack of 2007 series 2 baseball, I'll only buy them if I'm bored and desperate.

    I don't think I recall seeing any.

You might look on the book tables.

They have sports books and calendars and assorted flashcards.

They have lots of oddball software; some with sports themes.

    I remember palates of 1992 or 1993 Stadium Club...in 1992 or 1993. Haven't seen any since then.

Yep. Remember seeing pallets of them in 1988 and 1989. $14 a box if I remember right. The few times I got one, I was a happy kid.

It's been a good 10-12 years since I last saw cards at Costco. Not sure, but it might have been '97 Ultra?

Welcome to Costco. I love you.
  • never seen any in Costco; used to buy them at BJ's wholesale club 15 years ago though; with my tax ID number image then they started getting greedy; limiting the number of boxes you could buy and jacking the prices.
