61/62 Fleer Bskb - Qualifiers or not?

For a set that is known for being off-center or mis-cut - specifically 61/62 Fleer Basketball in this case - do you think it's better to get the cards graded with or without qualifiers for the purposes of resale? For example is an 8 o/c better than a 6, etc... I'm thinking maybe the qualifiers on higher grades would do better only because the set is known for these - thus its more accepted.

I feel that if a '61 card has survived nearly 50 years in NM-MT condition and the only issue is centering (which was there on the day it was printed), then I am happy.
So for me, on anything 60s and older, I would rather have an 8 OC than a 6 any day. Same with a 9 OC over a 7. To have a card with sharp corners from that age is good enough for me than better centering and lower-grade corners.

That being said, it isn' the most accurate statistic because all PSA 8 OC cards are PSA 6 cards, but not all PSA 6 cards are PSA 8 OC cards.
<< <i>I don't know about the 1961 Fleer basketball set, but a 1969 Topps Mantle PSA 6 sells for @ $140 and a 1969 Toppa Mantle PSA 8 OC sells for @ $200.

Not necessarily true Nick. I cracked a 9OC Guy Rudy Larusso from the 61 set and it crossed to a 4 in my BGS set. PSA may SAY all OC qualified cards are only 2 grades lower, but that's almost totally bogus. All cards are different.

I never mentioned what it would be in a BGS holder.

No way would that card have been a PSA 7. 6, maybe. But a 5 likely

The PSA 9 oc being equal to a PSA 7 is purely for registery points... The straight grade of a oc qualified card will vary depending on how severe the centering is...
And yes I have 3 or 4 PSA 9 oc cards that were cracked and resubbed one came back a 4 and the other 2 recieved a 4.5...
Edit to add: the 3 cards I mentioned were 1961 fleer basketball..
