(For Me), It's Always Cool When You Can Track The History Behind A Card

I came across an auction for a 1956 Topps Willie Mays PSA 8 and thought the seller and card looked familiar. I checked my database and saw that seller paramagyc purchased it from here from waxpackcity for $574.99 back on December 31, 2008. And waxpackcity purchased it here from bbcexchange for $445.00 on December 14, 2008. Nothing earth shattering, but it's kinda cool when you can track the history of a card. If nothing else, I think it demonstrates that turning a profit by flipping cards is not as easy as it may seem.

<< <i>I know that Jordan PSA 9 RC I have came from a pack that fellow board member LD Ferg opened up with his son. >>
As such, Fleer ==> LD Ferg ==> Matt.
Dude, that awesome!

<< <i>Jack, I agree, Alot of times I ask sellers if they have any history behind the cards they are selling. For instance, I know that Jordan PSA 9 RC I have came from a pack that fellow board member LD Ferg opened up with his son. I like to knowing the history behind my cards! >>
I sell very little on eBay, but when I have a unique memory of any individual card I sell, I almost always include its back story with my customary follow-up email (once the package is shown as delivered on DC) to ask if said card travelled well and to insure my buyer is pleased with the purchase. I've had an overwhelming positive response to that and, oftentimes, it leads to several emails back and forth with the buyer.
edited to add:
I've sold cards that I can remember trading for, including the exact card(s) I traded to acquire them...buyers love that stuff.
<< <i>If he bought it for $574.99 a week ago why does he have it a buy it now of $485? I am confused. >>
Very bad night at the tables??
I was thinking the same thing.
