Sometimes I ask "How?" and other times "Why?"

For the life of me I can't figure this one out. Gorgeous centering on a notoriously difficult card to find centered, but the crease breaks the surface on the front in more than one spot. And isn't that paper loss on the back above the "OO" in FOOTBALL? Great eye appeal as long as you avoid the tears in the surface. I know if I submitted this, I'd expect a PSA 2 and would be ecstatic with a PSA 3.

Could be a crack-and-switch.

The holder looks fine. The cloudiness is not uncommon and the typical points of concern show no evidence of being compromised. I think the grader just had a sip of coffee and it fogged his glasses for a moment . . . just long enough NOT to see the crease and paper loss.
And I know for sure that the grader I'd get wouldn't wear glasses, has 40/20 vision and is chugging Red Bull!

That's the grader I want every time. Blind and in a hurry.

Correction: I meant 20/10 eyesight (can see at 20 feet what the average person sees at 10 feet).
"I don't interest myself in why.
I think more often in terms of when,
sometimes where,
always how much."

THAT, my friend ... was funny as hell!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
I think the overall eye appeal and the fact the crease is where it is
allowed it the grade it received.
Not that I agree with that, I just think that may be the factor.

The market usually takes care of these things.
