If he wins this upcoming Super Bowl, the answer to that question is a not debatable "Yes"

if he doesn't win, the answer is yes also. Football HOF is not as exclusive as the Baseball HOF

McNabb should be a shoo-in. Frankly, I think Philly fans should be ashamed of the way they've treated this guy.

I agree, he will be in the hof regardless if he wins the sb or not.

He doesn't want to be this generations Dan Marino that is for sure.

(Peyton Manning finally got that monkey off his back.)

Did someone just compare this clown to Dan Marino? ahh no, he will never be confused with Dan Marino!

The only comparision I was making was not getting a Super Bowl ring.

Can we please stop comparing world championships with HOF votes?

    Sincerely,
    Dan Marino and Ted Williams

I say yes, though maybe not on the first ballot. But consider the following. McNabb is in his tenth year. Project his career out another five (5) or so years before he retires. Would you consider his career ... great? In other words ...

"... hey, there goes Donovan McNabb! Man, he was a great quarterback!"
(Looking at McNabb's career stats) "... wow! Those are some great numbers!"

I can't see too many people ever saying that. Regardless, however, I still see him getting in.

The thing that hurts him imo is his ability to find a way to have a horrid stretch of games. The Super Bowl loss against my Pats ( image ) will forever be remembered of him puking at the time when the Eagles needed him the most. Not to mention nearly every season he is at some point on the brink of being "washed up" or just plain bad and Eagles fans wanting him gone.

Take this week for example: Nearly everyone in Philly's opinion is riding on two things- if he beats AZ and has a great game he is MVP and HOF worthy.....or..............if he throws up a stinker then Philly fans will say he is awful and want him gone!

My question is: Does he seem worthy of HOF status even if his greatness is always hanging in the balance by the outcome of his next "Big Game"

I guess Im talking out of school a little not being a Philadelphian but this is what I gather from you guys from time to time.

He is the greatest QB in Philadelphia history......he has worked with subpar wide receivers apart from 1 year...which he had his best statistical career and they went to the super bowl. He has been injuried and came back....andy reid messes him over by not providing a REAL running game....

    is he a HOF player???

    H - E - DOUBLE HOCKEY STICK.......... MCNABB IS A HOF'er!!!!!!

    i mean come on....

Could anyone else have done what he did??? Is andre tippett a HOF'er???

"OMG there goes Mr. Tippett.....wow he dominated the league on those super duper 80's patriots teams.... C'MON!!!!!

Tough loss Philly fans, you guys had a great run though. Congrats on a fun season.
  • McNabb? HOF? I don't think so. I think Jaworski was better.

    I'll vote for Tommy Thompson.

C'mon guys...you know I had to pull out a guy from the 40's!
  • Right now I'm sure McNabb is thinking "forget the hall, I just want the ring".
