    Most impressive?

    1) Ravens - just dominant in every way. they look fierce
    2) Cardinals - dominated both games
    3) Eagles - looked very good in both games but didn't dominate
    4) Steelers - take nothing away from that win. They took it to SD when they had to, but they had a coupe lucky breaks that helped put the game away (tipped ball INT when SD was going to score and the punt that hit Weddle's helmet when he was blocking. The game was a lot closer than the score.

    The lines ohave opened up:

    Eagles -3 @ Arizona.

    BAL +5 at PITT

Tell me a two team teaser of ARZ +10 and BAL +12 doesn't sound like a great bet!!!

The steelers game was alot closer than the score????????? The Chargers had 1 offensive play in the 3rd quarter. The steelers missed out on a 4th and goal from the 1 and gave up a cheap late score or it could have been 42-17. The Chargers had nothing in the 2nd half for the Steelers D when it counted. I guess all those sacks by the D and yards by Parker were all luck.

How come all of the Steelers wins, whether it be in the playoffs or otherwise are lucky? I guess they've been lucky since the early '70s, huh?

The reason they has 1 play in the 3rd didn't have anything to do with the SD offense being inept. There was a tipped ball that may have even hit the ground (no evidence to overturn) and a punt that miraculously hit Eric Weddle's head.

Perhaps you missed where I said take nothing away from the PITT win. They completely took the game away from SD in the end, but it could easily have been a 4-7 point win instead of the blowout it ended up being. It was very similar to a few breaks they got in the NE game. Yes, PITT won as they should have, but if you think they dominated, you're crazy. Heck they only score in the first half was on a punt return that SD completely botched.

BAL and PITT isn't a 5 point spread game, it should be -3 or -2.5 at most. Both times they played this year were very close. Eventually the line will wind up at BAL +3.5 or +3. Count on it.

  • gosteelers: Are you happy to see the Steelers playing the Ravens next week? Should be an easy game, shouldn't it? Playing at home against a team that you've already beaten twice?

My Advice: Don't bet on the Steelers!

I'm thrilled. I would much rather play the Ravens and beat them for a third time instead of going to Tennessee and play the Titans.
  • I guess you've never read the bible. And I quote: "It's easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle than for the Steelers to beat the Ravens 3 times in one season."

The hard to beat three times in one season is just superstition it will come down to turnovers and mistakes like it always does.

Vitco you obviously didnt watch the steelers game as Parker scored a TD in the first half on a great drive by Rothlisberger. The score at halftime was 14-10. I didnt see where all the SD players fell down on the punt return by Holmes.

Special teams won the game for SD last week this week they blow it, that is how you lose. But SD never was in that game in the 2nd half to suggest the outcome was ever in question is pretty silly.

You're right, I forgot about the TD at the end of the first half...but after PITT goes up 21-10, Sproles returns the kick to the PIT 12. Assuming they score SOME points if not for the fluke INT, it's a one score game. So yes, I would say the outcome was in doubt in the 2nd half.
  • Pitts was in prevent defense the last half of the fourth. gave up some easy yards. the tipped ball and Pitts INT was a great play - can't call that luck. Kiesal is 6'5" and had many blocked/tipped balls this year. nothing but hustle and a great play on that INT. the final score was closer than the game actually was. Balt. had a quick 7 and then really, outside of a field goal from the Steelers blotched fake punt attempt, had zero offense or points until it was clean up time

Froiles had like 18 yards running - Pitts dominated that game in every aspect. Rivers and his okie self are heading back home

I haven't closely followed the AFC, but if ya understand football the Eagles have been more impressive than the Cardinals.
