Need a lesson in 1878 7 TF attribution - Large photo warning

Try as I might, I can't sort out the VAM number for this 1878 Morgan dollar. I've got the 4th edition Morgan & Peace dollar encyclopedia, but I cannot match all the indicators up on it. Can anyone shed some light on the VAM and what you're looking at to make the determination. The photos were not taken in the best lighting situation, so are somewhat washed out. I can post others this evening if needed. Thanks!

Well, you have a C3 reverse to start. The left serif of the first A of AMERICA is short and away from the wing and the neck/wing gap is narrow. The obverse is II2 with the broken tip of the 4th right star. The first right star looks doubled. The wear is a limiting factor. DOn't see die polish inside the bow on the reverse. My guess is VAM-222, but I don't have these memorized very well.
