2008 and 2009 Baseball card sets

I'm putting a base set per year together for my nephew (3 years old now). I did Topps Heritage in 2007, but didn't get around to it in 2008. To make it more fun for myself, I wanted to do a set that had an autograph card subset, to collect for myself (and probably give to him one day). What mid-high range sets in 2008 and upcoming in 2009 would fit the bill. I'd take recommendations on Football sets as well, as I may change it up for him.
