thoughts on '63 Rose RC PSA 8

Is the tilt slight enough to warrant a bump to 8.5 or possibly 9? Razor corners and nice centering.

Don't think 9 with the tilt, but yes, I could see 8.5

I'd think if a bump was possible that seller would have already tried?

Very possible, though Perry is a big consignor. If I take him at his word, he has not resubmitted the card. That doesn't mean that the previous owner didn't though.

Or, in his opinion it was not worthy of getting a bump so he is selling it the way it is.

If the card could bump that seller would have tried. He does not look like the type
that would leave dough on the table.

Not that anything is wrong with that.

personally IMO the tilt keeps it in the 8 holder. The color is beautiful, nice card overall.

Nice card but that white spot next to the "e" in Rose on the front might keep it from a bump.

Is it a fisheye, glare or what?

I hope I'm not the only one seeing that!!?

I think the tilt is the biggest issue. I saw that earlier and it looked like a fish eye. I've seen vintage PSA 10s with fish eyes. This is one of those cards that if you submitted it enough times, I think there's a good chance it goes higher.

Of course, submitting cards time and time again isn't my bag. image

Thunderdan I was thinking earlier that I could see that card in a 9 holder b4 I see it in an 8.5 one.

I know that sounds ridiculous but if cracked and submitted raw I could see it getting a 9.

I don't think it would ever bump though upon a review.

8 is where it will stay because of the white pribt mark by Pete Rose .Still a very fine card.

Doesn't sound ridiculous. There's built it bias when you submit in the holder, though it's a nice insurance policy. PSA doesn't like to admit they misgraded a card. Granted, with the .5 system in place now, it's not as much admitting a mistake, but I think they probably bank on people resubmitting cards in holder x number of times which might make them predisposed to reject a bump the first time.

I'm much more a fan of crack and resubmit, though I would hate to have this card come back as trimmed. I guess I would have to renew my PSA membership first anyway.
