Desperately searching for two Chuck Bednarik cards - please help!

You troll!! It's amazing how tough it is to find a cheap Bednarik rc. I've looked at Joe C's rc on E-Bay, however it's way overpriced at $325.

I think I'm going to settle for a $20 '49 leaf, myself.

Good luck finding a 49 Leaf for $20. I paid $75 for a PSA 4....which was high but I wanted to get it over and done with.

a psa 1.5 ended the other day for 22.50, I think i'll jump on the next one at that price like you so I wont be worrying about it anymore.

BTW, I finally sent the Bednarik and a bunch of other '48 Leaf and HOF RC's into PSA/DNA. Waiting and waiting and waiting. Hoping that three special ones get holdered (George Allen - Topps NFC Championship card, Ernie Davis - 1962 Topps and Sid Luckman - 1948 Bowman). The only one I'm worried about is the Davis and I'm still hunting for a signed Luckman Leaf RC (the '96 Donruss/Leaf reprint will have to do for now)... Anyone???

Scott, you have a signed '62 Davis? He had only months to sign that card right? How did you find one? That is unnnnnbelievable.

Didn't get it from CJ. I wouldn't buy an 8x10 Bednarik from him, let alone something of significant value.

Picked it up from a guy that built almost 3 three sets of '62 Topps with signatures. He had a 4th Davis. Insists it's legit as he was a Syracuse grad (class of '58) and stayed at 'Cuse doing teaching and grad work through '63. I told him my intentions and he said, "If anyone disputes it, they're idiots. Ernie signed these for me after his diagnosis and about two months before passing." I tried to pry another away from him, but he said he's keeping his sets intact. Last time I spoke with him, he was about 4 signatures short of being complete on two sets and needed less than 10 for the last one.

I know I have an image somewhere and I'll try to find it. Not sure if it's on the laptop or an external harddrive because I can't find it on the desktop.
