Finally Picked Up A Card I've Been Looking For

The first vintage card I ever owned was a 1969 Topps Denny McLain. I think a friend gave it to me back in the mid 1980s. I recall it being truly beat up, but I thought it was cool because his stats on the back showed that won 31 games in 1968. I have no idea where that card is now. Fast forward to tonight, I won an auction for a 1969 Topps Denny McLain PSA 8. Not the most valuable card and I probably overpaid for it ($27.00), but hey its cool for nostalgia's sake.

If you really want something and you didn't puke when you hit the pay now button, it dosen't matter how much you payed.

I'm dying to buy a PSA 10 86 Roger Clemens for the same reason. Was my favorite card when I pulled it from a pack in 86. I then lost it when we went to the beach in Cape Cod that summer. Devastated me as a child.

    Great card Jackie...

If it brings back memories, then it's worth it.
After all, cards are a piece of nostalgia.

I have always wanted the Kurt Bevaqua bubble gum blowing card in high grade condition.
That was my favorite card from my collection growing up, and my copy is still somewhere in a shoebox, all beaten up.

Will eventually get one graded. I think it's 1976 topps.

That's what collecting is all about. I have a 76 PSA 8 Payton. The one I bought back in 76 was well used. I look at it almost everyday and don't care what I paid for it.

You can bring back some good childhood memories for $27.00? Then that has to be one of the best buys you ever made!

    ENJOY THE CARD!!!!!
    STAY HEALTHY!
