Ebay question: Can a non-paying bidder leave you negative feedback?
Of course, the less than helpful eBay "help" does not answer this question.
Someone bought a $450 lot from me on ebay on December 14, have not heard boo from him since. Just filed the NPB today, now have to wait another 7 days. If the bidder fails to respond, supposedly I can close the case, get my FVF fees back, and give the bidder a NPB "strike". So if I do that, can the bidder retaliate with negative feedback? If so, can I get it removed, or does Ebay automatically remove it?

Any buyer can neg you for any reason. It's totally retarded.
<< <i>30 days from point of sold item. Track your sold items and you will see its gone after 30 days. I ran into this recently with a nutjob buyer. I told him I was away for the holidays and would get back to him asap. Wouldnt you know? 30 days elasped in the meantime. >>
I believe FB can be left for 90 days. I might be wrong.

This info comes from ebay via phone call. And I quote "kiss his butt until 30 days are up" However I stay skeptical as always with ebay.
feedback.
If he responds, no matter how, he can.
Edited to add:
back when both parties could leave negative feedback, if the seller left negative feedback the buyer (who had he not responded could not leave feedback) but could reply to it.
In your case the buyer could still send payment. Just because you have filed a NPB form does not mean he can't pay up. I know that is doubtful but possible.

What we have determined is that if the buyer does not specifically call out poor seller performance, item condition or transaction problems during the UPI process, eBay will remove the seller's negative or neutral feedback — retroactively.

If this happens it will likely take multiple tries with the T&S drones pointing out what I just posted until you happen across one who has a clue.
