NEED SOME 2008-09 HOCKEY CARD HELP

I do not have much info but here goes --- have a co-worker whose 7 year old son got some 2008-09 hockey cards this Christmas and he was asking me what about some inserts --- without seeing them this is the description he has given:


2 of the cards have a coin ??? or medallion ??? on them this coin ??? or medallion ??? can be felt from both sides of the card

I know not much to go on but if it rings a bell please let me know

Configuration: 24 packs per box. 8 cards per pack.


CONTENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Get 6 Rookie Cards in EVERY Box, on average! Plus get a Rookie Redemption card for a player who debuts early in the 08/09 season!

Not sure --- looked at ebay but found none with a "coin???" die-cut into a card
