Top 3 Sidney Crosby rookie cards

What are Sidney Crosby's top 3 Rookie cards. I don't collect a lot of modern hockey cards but it seems that Crosby has the potential to be the next Wayne Gretzky of the modern era. I would like to pick up his top 3 RC’s for my personal collection. I am not talking about auto's or crazy 1/1 GU cards either.

Thanks, That is what I was looking for.
that this is a great time to pick up Crosby, but only see his cards going up more if he wins a few cups.

<< <i>The Cup is overall his best and most sought after RC, the Ice rookie is rare, but there is no ink on it which in my opinion takes it out of the 1K+ group. I believe

What's the deal with that "The Cup" auto card? I posted about that card in my blog (see link in sig if interested) this morning. There is one on ebay right now that's already over $6000 with four days to go!

Even after the card glut of the 1990's, there is a challenge to be a completist for player collectors of that decade.
my only reservation about investing in Crosby, (or any rookie card) is that before the "legends" status are truely established, they many sink like a led zeppelin.
Crosby has struggled in scoring of late - but even worse - he has exhibited some very uncharacteristic behaviors.
He has sucker punched one opponent and was seen cheap-shotting another. Without his star profile it is believed he would have been suspended and fined.
Let's hope he overcomes these antics.

Yup Goot - that's one of'm. I think the kid is having a meltdown.
He's making more enemies than fans.
As far as hockey rookies holding any value - it goes back to what YOU thinks its worth ?
How much value in a Strawberry rookie ? Herb Score rookie ? Don Mattingly ? Jose Conseco ?
I think Alex Ovechkin is a good player to collect. But then again, if it was up to me we would be having one set per year released for each sport. (I also collect vintage only) That probably would not satisfy the modern collector ... so I pick and choose. That's just me.
BTW - I was looking something up in a guide book and found that Sergie Samsonov had more than 40 cards issued just in 1997 - too many, eh ?

I agree. Crosby is over priced when you compare him to Ovechkin. If you want to buy I would say buy Ovechkin. You can buy almost 3 of his cards for every one of Corsby's from the same set.
