Help with coin ID, please

The other side of this, presumably obverse, is just the clean planchet, no date or anything else. It may not be a actual an actual currency coin. Sorry for the poor photo.

Looks like the old 19th century Belgian 2 centime, but there should be the signature at bottom. I don't see any uniface or undated patterns in Krause, but there are two pewter uniface trials listed without pics, though those are dated I think.

Thank you for the replies. The "pattern" issue you raise has me wondering. My Krause is the 2007 for 1901-2000 so I can't get back to 19th century without a trip to bookstore.

I have always just thought it a novelty piece that someone sliced or abraded one side off of.

Probably a token or play piece... note the lack of detail like the sig and various lettering on the lion side...

Interesting picture I found.... Also did you know that L'Union Fait La Force is a French game show also??? Literally means Unity Makes Strength or Strength Through Unity. Back to the pic below, Belgium 2 Cents from 1863. The Lion and tablets on the reverse are the same as what is on your coin so I would ASSUME (we all know what that gets us) that this is a Belgium piece of some sorts... I'll keep digging.

ASUtodd, the more I look at your coin, the more I think Bjorn is probably right about the play piece. The lion's muzzle on my coin is too poorly made, among other things. Again, my thanks to both of you for your thoughts and responses.
