WOW, that was a quick TD. I am not saying Utah will win the game but 'bama better play some D. I sure hope Utah wins because that helps muddy the BCS waters nicely.

Huh? What your honor? Oh, these two youths...
UNDEFEATED!
Too bad they were not able to play for the CHAMPIONSHIP!

College football's current format is much like figure skating in that the judges (pollsters) have all the power determine the winner-too much subjectivity especially when it deprives deserving schools of their shot. I think that is reasonable to say that you could use the ranking system to narrow the field to 16 (other than those at the affected school, who is going to argue over whether #17 should be in versus #16) and then play it out on the field. Just my 2 cents.

I would guess that any sports reporter who approached Nick Saban for a comment after the game did so with some fear and trepidation.
<< <i> An embarassing loss for Alabama who was favored by 9 1/2 points.

I don't think it was an embarrassing loss for Alabama as the Utes did everything they could do this year short of being in a playoff game. However I would say it's got to be a a very disappointing loss for Alabama.

collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
We need a playoff system in CF to prove this.
Hooray, we'll have another farce championship game upcoming.
<< <i>How the only undefeated team didn't get any consideration before their win is beyond me (considering some of their wins), this just shows what a toilet the BCS can be. The only team to go undefeated this year has some really strong wins including a team that was #1 just a week ago. They beat Alabama by more at a neutral site than Florida beat Alabama by at home. Further, the total yards in the 'Bama / Florida game were very close, but Utah dominated Alabama in total yardage.

1) Utah wasn't the only undefeated (at the time of the bowl selection)
2) Florida didn't beat Bama at home

1)I meant in the top 10, which I believe they were if I'm not mistaken... Should have been more specific.
2)Florida beat Bama while playing at home (the Swamp), which is what I was saying.
The rest of the teams can play Bowl Games that basically mean nothing but expose their team to recruits.

your still wrong on where Florida and Alabama played The SEC championship is played in Atlanta.
And BTW, the SEC is still 5-2 in bowls this year with a chance to be 6-2 after the Championship game, the SEC must really suck huh.
I think Boise State was #9 in the country and undefeated at bowl selection time.
I only saw a very small part of the Florida/Alabama game, so didn't know where they played. It was listed as an "at Florida" game on yahoo, but I guess that was just because they had to make one of the teams "the home team".
As for Boise, ooops... I shouldn't have forgotten about them because they are making this a regular discussion for them. But they lost in the end, so "F" em
