Need some advice Please

What should I do with this Washington. I have been working on this set for a very long time
and with this one all I need is the 32-D to finish it. It will fit right in with the rest of the coins.
My question is should I leave it in the slab and put a label in the Dansco Holder or crack it out
and put the coin in the holder with the PCGS label taped in it? Would really appreciate some
opinions. Thanks In Advance
Tiny

I would crack it out and put it in the album. I would not worry much about the label though you might want to keep it for future reference.
  • My understanding is that Green sticker means it should go back in a holder if you so choose in the future (solid for the grade). If your goal is to finish the Dansco, Crack it! JMO of course.

I think you answered your own question.

Since that set is in the Dansco I presume, then that's where that one, and the eventual
32-D should go as well, unless you are planning on taking them all out and slabbing them
    in the near future.

Congratulations, BTW ... if that one "fits" well, I'll bet your set is quite nice, and a VERY
    worthy accomplishment.

Seems a shame to waste money on a holder only to bust it apart. And it has the little green bean to boot... image

If you think you or our kin will want to resell the coin anytime soon, leave it in the holder. If you think you want to look at it in the album, crack that bad boy out, put it in the album and post a photo for us to see!

You DO have the coin, but I would hate an empty space in my album.

    Ray

    PS Crack it!

  • Settled,

I'm a cracker as soon as I get it in the mail it is going in the holder.
Pictures will be posted. I'll keep the label and the "Green Bean" lol
    only for my own knowledge.

    Thank You All

I'll tell you this. If you don't crack it next thing you know you will be slabbing your best ones, since there's no consistency to your collection and there are obvious benefits to quality slabs. I'd hate to see that happen. So pricey and such a compromise.

I say crack it out and forget you ever saw that slab and green bean!
