Should I send this back to PSA ?

Psa graded this and listed as a 1995 Topps Finest bordered Refractor. Part true but it is a test orange bordered refractor . Very very rare. Less than 20 were made. I understand they made bordered M1 finest regular and borderless M1 Finest Refractors in 95. Understanding that you would know the difference but I think it should be listed as a 1995 Topps Finest M1 Michael Jordan Orange Bordered Test Refractor. SOME THOUGHTS ? Still think it graded low too! image

    Looks like it has severe surface issues keeping it at that grade.

    Did you find this in a dumpster?

    There is a wrinkle most likely on the back of the card. The swirls and fingerprints look to be on the slab.

    That said, it's still a nice card even if it does smell funny

    Only issue on the card is 3 very small creases that you can hardly see on the back only. All of them have the same creases from the factory. Thought they allowed for that ? Quess not. The point is that the card is not listed right. Should belisted as a Orange bordered test refractor. Swirl marks are on case not the card.

    Creases are automatic 5's as long as the rest of the card is decent.

    You can send it back to psa with a note letting them know what the card should be listed as. They will correct it for you at no charge

    That Jordan card could cause someone to have a seizure!

    Did you specify orange border on the sub sheet?

    I would request the correct card name placed on the title paper. Refractors are a tough deal when it comes to grading, a few scratches here and there impact the grade grately. Its a sharp looking card but the upper left corner looks dinged up a bit.

    Yes I did. Thats kind of its signature so to speak. And every one knows its a test refractor thats why I cant believe its not listed as that.

    I like PSA but they sometimes have a hard time identifing the more "rare" issues.

    It's just a mechanical error. Send it back with proof as to what it is.

    Have others of that variety been labled as Orange bordered test refractor after graded? If so you can probably get it changed. If not then they probably dont get that specific in the card label.

    Creases always affect the condition.

    With many rare issues, I have learned to call the grading company 1st to see what they will label it as if I have not seen one graded or found in their pop report.

    It is labeled correctly. If we write "DUMPSTER DIVING IDIOT" on a label and stick it to your head you would be labeled correctly also.
