So you have heard about the box of 20 theory.........
You know, focusing your collection in some way etc.
Well how about the boxes of twenty theory. How about being so unfocused you forget what coins you own.
Come on how many of you out there are total, ADHD, coin addicts that you buy what you like.
No focus, just when you revisit them you go "oh I remember this one, nice coin".
Come admit it...........! So here are some coins from a random box of 20

My "box of 20" would consist of something like a bunch of raw wheats and barber dime culls. LMAO
Nice coins, by the way!

<< <i>So how much $$$ would it take to have a serious box of 20? >>
Its not about the money.
Its about not being focused and collecting.
One day I will put a box of 30 together from all my boxes in one of those nice pcgs cherry wood boxes.

All of those are tasty, but I like the Mint Set 1957 Roosie too! Subtle, all the right colors, and it just screams originality (from Mint paper!).

<< <i>I have several boxes of twenty. Does that count? >>
Me, too, and that's just 1878-P Morgan dollars. I've always thought that a B-o-XX comprising coins costing no more than $100 each that would be the most intriguing to a non-collector would be an interesting pursuit.

Something to remember, if every collector only had 20 coins, there would be a lot less demand. The result would be declining prices..........I'm thankful to the Hoarders for they keep the prices moving up, by making sure the supply is lowered
Also indiscriminantly have picked up coins well outside my immediate collecting focus over the years. Some ended up being good buys too in retrospect. Some that do come to mind.

US Early Commem Type set - need about 8 pieces to complete, mostly the expensive ones.
US 20th C. Proof Type set - still need a Barber half, Buff Nickels, Matte Lincoln.
British Halfpennies of Geo. III - set of currency issues in MS63 or better is complete but for the 1775, and I have a 1/2 dozen or so of the proofs and patterns.
British Shilling Type set by ruler - still need some of the tougher monarchs, Charles and James II, Mary.
And I've recently started picking up some 19th and 20th C. German.

<< <i>There are a few Morgans where I have bought saying, "Gee, a nice possible new discovery VAM," only to get it back and find I have a half dozen of them that I said the same things about.

<< <i>I might get down to a couple of boxes of 20 for each of my collecting interests. They seem odd and not connected but I like each area, I haven't worked on the US sets much since February or so, prices seemed to get out of hand for the actual rarity of some pieces.
