HOW IS EVERYONE GOING TO CELEBRATE NEW YEARS?

Hi Everyone~

Thought I'd check and see what everyone was doing for New Years' Eve? Me, I'm putting another log on the fire and staying warm at home (got 5 inches of snow last night)! Guess I'll stay up with all of you and watch the ball drop! Whatever you do, may it be fun and safe. Hope everyone on the Boards has a GREAT and wonderful New Years in 2009! Best of luck to everyone!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Best of Luck in 2009~

EARL

The wife and I have a very nice evening planned. We will both be in bed (sleeping you pervs!) by 10:30. But don't worry, we will set the alarm for 11:59 so we can see the new year roll in. And then it's back to sleep at 12:01. Oh yeah, we know how to party! image

Took my wife and kid's out to the Olive Garden. I've gotten too stuffed on breadsticks to do much else. My wife and 5 year old are baking cookies, we'll probably watch Dick Clark and see the ball drop from NY and then head to bed, have to be up early for my swearing in tomorrow morning at the courthouse.

I had my brother, sister-in-law & their kids & my parents over for dinner. They left about 7:00. I am in the rest of the night relaxing. My wife and kids (3 and 10 months) are already in bed and I am not far behind. It is 3 degrees out, so I am happy to be home.

Just returned home from the bowling alley; a couple of games on New Year's Eve has become a bit of a family tradition for my gang (wife and two sons). Grabbed some Chinese on the way back and we are just sitting down to watch a movie (Eagle Eye). Hope I make it to the end and to midnight, but was up very early this morning for the kids' ski lessons so I have my doubts.

    Be safe. Eyebone

I'm late responding on this thread but here I sit typing, counting the minutes until.....I go to work....midnight to 8. someone has to stock the shelves at the local grocery store, guess who is one of the lucky one's tonight. Can't complain though, it's money in my pocket and I wasn't planning to party anyways. I'll check back tomorrow morning when I get home to see how everyone else has fared on this NEW YEARS EVE!!! Bless you. I hate night shifts. I did 12 to 16 hour night shifts (5 pm to 5-9am) 3 nights a week for my first year out of college. It was 12 hours Friday night, 12 Saturday night, and 16 Sunday night...had 4 days off, but by the time I was rested up, it was time to go back to work.
