BST Question

Is there a reason that some sellers choose to delete the post (or the price) once the coin has sold?
How do I know what kind of deals you make in order to look for your threads in the future?

I have also had it affect me when I was busy, saw something, responded quickly as to take it at the listed price, then come back to it later to make sure I had all funds correct (ie....shipping amount, any paypal fee, etc).
When they get deleted, I have to go to the seller and look stupid because I don't have the full amount. Once, they had forgotten the exact amount but we both kinda remembered so it was ok as we came to an agreement.
I see nothing wrong with marking the title as SOLD and leaving the items there.
My other pet peeve, more than that, is the sellers that recycle old threads.....I often won't realize that and I will skip their listings for quite awhile, until I forget that I looked in the first place then I will notice they had more stuff there that I missed out on. Oh well.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
BTW I allways delete when an item is sold.

Of course, I have had similar issues as a previous poster, with my "aged" mind forgetting the sale price... but I put all the info in the PM(s) which I print for my records.
To my experience, many coins do not go for the original asking price... there is usually some wiggle room... and frankly, once I have purchased a coin, I do not care if another knows what I paid... but I also have no reason to let them know... unless I feel like it.

Probably the best way to find out what kind of deals a person might make... would be to try one out with the person, make an offer and see what happens. Really... it just might work...
I unlink pics as soon as someone buys a coin, to save loading time for the thread, but I do leave the web address for the pics in case the buyer or anyone else wants to see them. It just takes a little more effort than seeing the pics of things that are actively for sale.
I take a listing down completely once the buyer has confirmed their happiness with the coin, and I do this mainly to save space in my posts.
Also, I think the new buyer is entitled to some privacy regarding what they might have paid for the coin, if that is what they want. If they choose to use the BST to sell it down the road, it ought to be up to them to disclose or not disclose what they paid.
I don't get worked up over it either way, but I agree that removing the listed price as soon as a PM conversation starts can lead to trouble. There was a dealer who handled some really nice type coins, who was well regarded here for a while -- until he ripped some people off for fairly significant money -- who tried to pull a fast one on me that way once. I didn't copy the listing text into our PM (my mistake, I guess) when I said I'd take it, next thing I know he's added $20 to his price, etc. I didn't buy the coin, and it was the last interaction I had with him. He cooked very well in his own juices not too long after.
