"David Baney Jr.The Pennsylvania man who pleaded guilty to attacking a local dealer with a crowbar and stealing a bevy of vintage baseball cards will spend time in jail.

A judge in Lycoming County, PA handed a sentence of 18 months to three years in prison to 28 year-old David Baney Jr. last week. Baney attacked Ronald Aderhold, the owner of Montour Baseball Cards on Broad Street in Montoursville in March of this year, stealing over $47,000 worth of Hall of Famers and modern star cards.

Baney pleaded guilty after being arrested last May and was jailed for violating parole. Baney had walked away from a half-way house in Wernersville in 2007. He had received a state prison sentence of 4 to 8 years after pleading guilty to robbery and conspiracy charges in 2002.

Not all of the stolen cards in the Montoursville attack have been recovered."

Probably the ONLY way you can get Book Value is thru your insurance company! (And that's only if you carry special insurance for your cards!)

More like "talk about extreme means to obtain crack" the guy most likely stole them to sell for drug money and would have most likely sold the whole haul for a quick 100.00
