You choose: autographed rookie for MJ or Jackie Robinson

The MJ is amazing but I am not sure if it should be priced higher than the Jackie Robinson rookie auto. Even though I am a basketball collector, I would rather have the Jackie Robinson over the MJ any day. Which one would you rather have?

The MJ buyback rookie auto is about to be sold for excess of $7000 ebay

While the nice PSA/DNA certified rookie auto for Jackie Robinson went for a smooth $5000 (final price + winner premium) link

WOW! Amazing! As much as I like MJ there is NO QUESTION in my mind that I would take the JACKIE in a second!

    STAY HEALTHY!

I would take the Jackie because I already have the Michael image Also, Michael has many years of potential signing opportunities (flight school camps) left unless he kicks the bucket unexpectedly. So theoretically, the potential for signed Michael rookies is only limited to the number of authentic Jordan rookies left to be signed, but the Jackie's are a finite pool that won't get any larger (except for forgeries)

I would take the Jackie without any hesitation. Lets see, Jackie is a HOF and broke the color barrier, played for my team, and is deceased which makes it very hard to find that card signed in any condition. Not to take anything from Mike, but you can get his cards in raw and find a way to get it signed.

I would take the MJ, then sell it. Then buy the Robinson, and have money left over.image

    Jackie by far.

Id take it over 10 MJ's

Jackie will always be in demand, Michael will go downhill slowly like any modern player.

But Id also take many HOFers before Jackie............... ie Foxx, Hornsby, Speaker, Lajoie, Wilson, etc.

Since his wife let all those canceled checks out, Jackie's signature is common for a guy that passed away in the early/mid 70's.

    Carl Rackie??

    Agreed the Robinson for sure!!
  • I personally would perfer the Jackie Robinson, but from a monetary stadpoint the Jordan would probably have the better upside on value. He is a world icon with a large following and played closer to present times. Basketball is truly a global sport.

While Robinson is an icon in his sport, he is too far removed from the public eye, and those people under 40 do not have an emotional connection from watching him play.

they are both real nice. but i think i would go with the robinson. he was a very important person in the 50's not just in baseball.
