  • I like the slab more than the coin.

    Your doily is missing the outer plastic ring as some of the are because this ring tends to break off. Without this ring it looks like a rattler holder only with the different type of cert tag.

    Reminds me of the 1884-CC I found in the old "rattler" holder.

    Neither does my old "rattler" 1884-CC. But according to Q David Bowers, 84.7% of the entire mintage of 1884-CC was in gov't hands (GSA). Mine's a cracked out GSA, more than likely sent in raw.

    For 1883-CC, 62.8% of the mintage was in gov't hands.
