Woohoo! Mowing season is over! I’m gonna start a secret Santa exchange!
Matt gathers the forum together and diligently signs them up for the much anticipated holiday extravaganza.
However when Christmas day comes, problems develop.
“What do you mean we only have two lousy delivery confirmations?”
“I knew I shouldn’t have let you help with this Arny”
Unsure of what to do, Matt calls the forum together.
“I'm sorry this happened to you. I’m going to make this right even if I have to give you each something from my personal collection.”
“We don’t want any of your stupid Gary Coleman junk! We want the stuff from our secret Santa list!”
“Arny, you have experience with these types of disasters. What should I do?”
“There’s only one person who can help you. You’ll have to go see Gary.”
“Gary, you’re the only one who can help me. Somehow I’ve misplaced several secret Santa gifts. I know you have thousands of commons lying around and the stars in your personal vault. I’ll do anything, even put up my Emmit Smith collection as collateral.”
“Let’s see, the pop reports don’t look good. Your stuff’s worth more as an insurance claim than as a collection. Why don’t you have the post office lose it, or better yet, go get some cards from that riff raff you run around with. Nam isn’t it?”
“You know something Gary, you’re nothing but a hatter. You sit there and make your vintage wax packs and think the world revolves around you and your big screen TV. Well it doesn’t!”
Distraught, Matt considers quitting the hobby.
“If only Randy were here. He’d know what to do.”
“hiya matt!
“ok, heh, let’s see when your problem solves we’ll do like gen. patton did once and ship them suckers outta here”
“I really have no idea what you’re talking about this time Randy”
“dont make me shoot ya, matt”
“heh sorry, thats gonna leave a mark.”
“i know, we’ll get a drink. that always make me feel better. i once drunk the entire marine corps under a table.”
“Don’t feel bad Matt. I got my secret Santa gift. It was total crap of course and I spent way more time picking out mine and packaging it than he did, but that’s ok, don’t worry about it.”
“Thanks firedog”
"Hey Randy isn’t that CDsNuts coming in? Let’s get out of here before he sees us."
The Registry Is A Powerful Drug
“Take me home cabby. Hey wait a minute. Isn’t that you Blackborder?”
“I have no idea who you are but you’re an invaluable member of this town, so I’ll be glad to take you home.”
“Nice house by the way. Maybe you should have went into the snow blowing business instead.”
“Ooohhh that’s cute. I think I’ll start a post-any-picture thread.”
“Matt, I just wanted you to know that while you were out wasting time with your friends, I solved your secret Santa problem. I PM’d everyone on the forum and got them all to donate cards.”
“Look Matt, they’re all here! All we have to do is send them out to the people who didn’t get their secret Santa packages. Zep even threw in a couple of 1/1’s!
“Tonya, I don’t know what to say! Now make me some dinner.”
“Look Matt, Beckett says everytime a bat’s destroyed, a thousand GU cards are made.”
“That’s right Gio, that’s right.”
