Where do I find the PCGS numbers for World Coins so I can complete my submission form?

I am preparing yet another submission to PCGS of world coins. And again, I can't find the darn PCGS numbers for world coins on their website. Last time I called the customer service rep was very nice and looked them up, but he assured me that "somewhere" on the website the information existed. Although, he couldn't actually locate the information on the PCGS website while we were on the phone.

Anyone have a magic link to a pdf or html page with the numbers?

I was told long ago to simply leave the number field blank for world coins, and I have followed that advice on many submissions with no problems. -Preussen

I have Canada and Newfoundland in the book here that just came with my CC membership, but no other Darkside that I can see.

    Same here, leave them blank.
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

I'm not sure, but I think they dumped the PCGS numbers into the new CoinFactsWiki Ron announced.

If anybody needs two of the Numbering System books, I'll be happy to send 'em. Of course they're mostly Liteside, as mentioned, with a little Canada.

  • Thanks all. I'll leave the numbers blank and send in the submission. Seems to me that was the first thing PCGS told me a couple years ago. Then I recall they posted the coin numbers. Now they seem to have gone (except as WWW pointed out in the pop report). No number is the easiest. I'll go with that.

    Cheers,

Like others have said, don't worry about putting coin numbers on the submission form.

That said, if doing world modern, be prepared to send some coins back due to "mechanical error" problems. I get the honors of doing this myself because they seem to have intermittant problems assigning the correct coin numbers to more recent issues. If I'm lucky I will have the set I am working on completed in another year or two and then I won't have to worry anymore.
