Ron Santo rookies going through the roof

I'm hoping someone can list out the finishing price of the last 5 or 6 1961 Ron Santo Rookies that have sold on Ebay. One ended December 22nd. for over $800, and if memory serves, the prior 2 sold for over $900. Any explanations for this? I understand SMR can be way off, but it's been surprising with this economy. I already have my 9, and always watch the high end Santo's. Didn't pay anywhere near what they are going for now.

That has been a tough card to win on eBay for sure. I have been looking for a 9 for my Future HOF Rookie Players Set --- finally got one through a private sale with a fellow forum member ($900).
