Autographed Baseball Cards - Common Players

I have a number of autogpahed cards from the 1960's Topps Baseball cards. I am going to have some graded and am wondering if is better to just get them authenicated and forego getting the cards graded as well. Many of the cards are not in great shape so I don't think getting them graded would be very important. It is the autograph that makes them interesting.
Does anyone have any comments? Should I just get them encapsulated and autograph authenticated or should I also get the cards graded as well?
