This is a dutch auction for a case fresh 1975-76 Topps Rack Pack Box that contains 24 factory fresh Rack Packs. There are 24 Rack Packs up for grabs so take as many as you like. >>

    ???

I find it annoying. I can understand all the key words in the auction title. But the description seems to imply the whole case frsh box is what's for sale. Is it pack or box?

And what does Dutch mean? Is that some kind of ebay auction for multiple items? And who searches for Dutch?

    Typical hockey nut, heh heh.

    Ya, they are sweet.

It seems the deal is per "rack pack" (and not a box of rack packs!)

    here's a cut & paste from seller's description:

"...There are 24 Rack Packs up for grabs so take as many as you like. These are great rare vintage packs to add to your collection. Shipping is 6.00 for 1 rack and 2.00 more for each additional one. Insurance is 1.00 for every 100.00 desired. I am not responsible for uninsured packages..."

  • Dutch auctions are just a convenient way to sell multiples of the same thing. When ebay was actually fun years ago and people actively bid against each other from start to finish (pre-esnipe days, when an auction was an auction) there was a lot strategy in placing bids within this format. it's not used as often any more. Haven't seen a box of those in a long time.
