  • Dad gum! I was looking forward to your report on how it works. I ask Santa for one this Christmas and was hoping to hear some good stuff about it. What did you dislike about the way it was built?

  • just the cheap hardware.you can tell when your dealing with inexpensive material. but it is a good looking mach.owners manual is like any other basically just have to put it together. i got the $275.00 package with the bonus coils and bag, pin pointer. so as soon as the snow melts ill try it out. and report back. also alot of videos on youtube on this mach.
  • Can you direct me to the youtube files? I also have the F2 and would like to view. Your profile says your located in Florida? Snow? You will enjoy the F2!!! Rich
  • google or on youtube punch in fisherf2.and wala
  • Thanks Dave! Got it!
  • Rocketman, what do you think about the Fisher F2? Good, bad or ok? Made any deep finds, does it properly identify finds or had any equipment problems?

  • Well, my first MD was a BH Tracker IV. This did not provide depth reading or VDI. So after about 1 1/2 yrs. I upgraded to the F2. Got it for $199 with the 4" & 8" coils!!!!! I'm quite pleased with its performance. My friend and MD partner recently purchased an MXD300 and it doesn't seem to out perform the F2. However, we dig parks and schools mostly and limit our digging depth to about 3", simply to preserve the grass. I believe his MD is better quality and will outperform the F2 when digging relics and treasures at greater depths! I prefer to use the 4" coil at these higher depths (2-5in). Although it doesn't cover as much area, it is easier to pinpoint and seems to be more accurate. The 4" is very accurate to 3 in! Identification seems good. Still learning the VDI #'s. Sometimes I simply dig everything which eliminates IDing. Still in the learning mode!!
  • im curious about the 1o inch coil and does it work at deeper finds runnin on high sens.
