Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.
  • I'm biased in that I collect Manning but the performance tonight may have very well locked it up.

    Play quarterback, I guess.
  • No disrespect meant to AP and he could certainly win the award as well. Manning & AP have something in common in that they have had to carry their share of the offense and overcome less than stellar defense. According to my numbers, the passing of the Vikes has been 26th in the league (181.6 YPG). After the game tonight, the Indy rushing is next to last in the NFL (76.9 YPG). However, considering that AP has had 9 TD rushes this year I don't see how anyone could argue that he has carried the Viking offense the way Manning has carried the Indy offense. Even in the 6-1 run the Vikings have had in their playoff push AP has only had 4 rushing scores. Then again, it was the defense that won the Cleveland game for Indy. Should be a fun vote.

Peyton's performance was a typical "Dan Marino-type HOF performance"

    All passing, no rushing!

Guess when you are down, 14-0, 17-7, and 24-14, all you can do is pass, pass, pass (because Indy rushing didn't work at all last nite!)?

    What a 4th quarter: Indy 17 Jax 0

P.S. A side note: Indy rushing last night sucked! 18 carries for 32 yards, for a 1.8 yd average was just horrible. (Oh yeah! Indy covered their 6-point spread, line: Indy -6)

For most of the season Ferotte has been serviceable, not great but not killing them. Bringing back Jackson has actually gave them even more energy.

Peterson did have a slow start like Manning. Also his backup is good enough for them to win, the colts, no way.

The colts rushing has been pretty much awful unless playing someone like Detroit. Addai is running scared due to injuries, Mike Hart is out for the season and the #1 guy now was released by the Raiders a year ago. Peyton has carried the offense.

You can only point to the defense in a few games as coming up big. They seem to make big plays at ends of games but give up points and can't stop any rushing attack.

BTW Colts stop running it on 3rd and 1 please, same to you Steelers, your RBs dance and prance and aren't big enough to plow for 1 yard.

This how great Peyton Manning would of been if he played with the likes of Mark Clayton, Mark Duper, Ferel Edmonds and Steve Avery...ohh wait...nevermind

  • I didn't feel like looking up the numbers in regards to the argument for DeMarcus Ware, but I would have to say that James Harrison has had just as good (if not better) defensive season than Ware. 6 of Ware's 19 sacks came in games against the Rams and Seahawks.

WRs need a QB more than a QB needs WRs. A good QB can allow bad WRs to play well look at Brady's past WRs before Moss or even some Colts and Cowboy castoffs (Alvin Harper?) of years past. A WR can't ever get the ball with a bad QB who holds the ball and can't throw before the WR break. How dominant was TO and Witten w/o Romo? Look at Roddy White turning it on now he has Ryan. How much of Reggie Wayne and Marvin are products of the system and Peyton?

I think it's pretty safe to say that TO was a dominant receiver before he met up with Romo.
