Actually, from when I started collecting in the 70's to now I think there has been a marked increase in professionalism in the dealer ranks. There is still the odd crook out there of course but back in the day it seemed they were in the majority. Even dealers that seemed very pleasant would buy at AU and sell at Gem BU. Maybe it's because they can't get away with as much with more educated collectors and TPG's sorting out some of the old problems.
