Registry Update

When will 2008 be required in the registry? I've heard end of 2008, jan 1 2009, and sometime in January. Is there a specific date? Also, why are the pop numbers in the PCGS pop report different from the pops that are shown in the registry?

Historically the requirement of the present year coins in registry sets is the first week of January and no, there is not a specific date.
As far as the pops reports and Registry pop numbers, it’s a matter of data updating. They will eventually get around to it.

2008 coins will become required sometime between Jan and Feb of 2009.
