An Odd 1963 Proof Quarter. Clad???

Found this as I was searching through several hundred proof sets I recently bought.....

It looks like 90% silver to me as well.
materials began in '64.
It shouldn't be possible.
The coloration appears vaguely clad-like but it's probably just toning on
the edge.
Also note that most cu/ ni clad coins have edges which appear two thirds
copper and one third nickel. Only one side or the other is nickel colored
because the copper core is scraped across the thin cladding in the blanking
process.

So you can sleep tonite, you may want to weigh it........silver = 6.3 gr (96.6 gn)...clad = 5.7 gr (88 gn)...
