Since I've been scarce lately, here is my belated thanks to everybody who sent me freebie stuff ...

There have been several gifts through the mails (holey coins, mostly) and I fear I have long since lost track of what I received, let alone who-all sent it and so on.
So this is my lame "catch-all" thread to say thanks to those of you I forgot to thank. You know who you are.
This is a thoughtful bunch here.
Thanks also for those who have made non-material contributions of knowledge or heads-up on coins I might be interested in.
Hats off to the forum folk- I am sorry I haven't been around as much these days.
Hope everybody has a great holiday season and finds the New Year more prosperous and hopeful than the old!

Since it's the middle of a work day I guess you found a job.
Always enjoyed your metal detecting stories....
This should be said for you. I hope the saying "what goes around, comes around" is true.
You have alot of good things coming your way. It may take time, but is coming.

Not always. If I'd been working a little more and lying around reading a little less, I might have a little more coin money.
I am only working two nights a week in the "real world", leaving the rest of the week for me to be a coin dealer, if I could just rouse myself from my lethargy and actually DO SOMETHING with it.
I am fast rediscovering something I already knew about myself, which is the lamentable fact that my self-discipline is not the best. I might not have what it takes to be self-employed, actually. I probably need more "structure" in my life. But for now, at least, since it's all I've got, I guess I'll need to get back to work on the coin thing. It's easier and more fun to be a collector than a dealer. They both have their rewards, though, I guess.
I've finally gotten busy on the consignment that has been lying around here, and gotten the coins imaged. The consignor wants them listed on Sunday, so I'll be swimmin' in The Bay of E again soon.

Thanks for that, y'all.
If I had even gotten out digging or done some writing, I would feel better about myself. The last detecting adventure was on Halloween. I did have one outing since, but all I found was $1.26 in grubby modern clad, so it was hardly worth writing about.
