$850 and counting.
Now the PPT has to rush in and try to keep gold from closing above $850.

<< <i>why don't they just go straight to ZIRP? this is a joke. >>

<< <i>Man, the dive in the dollar today is a sight to behold. This is getting scary. >>
It's been expected and predicted.
Can you post a screen shot of the dive?

I'm not an economist by any stretch, is this just more devaluation of the dollar?
If is was 0%, could THE MACHINE cut any further?
I heard the number 10% UR thrown around on CBS radio in the coming months, not good.
Obama, I wish you the best of luck.

That reminds me. I need to get out of my bonds. The chart is opposite of the dollar here recently.
<< <i>I hope this isn't to stupid to ask, what happens when the FFR is 0%?

The idea, in addition to making $ cheap, is to make Treasuries unattractive to investors and force them back into the commercial markets.
There has been a big bleed of $ moving to the Euro and you're seeing gold react to that as the 3rd ingredient in forex arbitrage.

You're getting some $ now in the form of lower gas prices. It really is making a difference.
A generous tax cut for business and a smaller one for individuals would be an enormous boost. Heck, if they're gonna run trillion $ deficits, just let me keep my $ rather than redistributing it.

I think they'll let gold run this time if it wants to.
It will.
12 months I am hoping I can get a fixed 30 year below 5%.
With housing prices dropping it is a double plus.
Saving every cent is my goal right now besides doing quick flips on
the metals and frankly that can be done no matter what the price is
on silver.
I have to admit I enjoy flipping it better then holding. A lot less stress
of worrying about the investment. I rarely check kitco anymore unless
a post here makes me curious.
Imagine if they start selling $100,000 face currency for $80,000 ?
Would that pep up the enonomy?
