How can a AU copper coin be graded/labeled RED?

1802 1 Cent AU50 Red!

    Nevermind...... the dealer changed the listing to AU-50.

    I have had XF Lincolns listed with RED, its simply a lable mistake sometimes.

    I was told by PCGS that it is possible to have an AU5?-RD or XF4?-RD. I thought it was strange, but they said it was allowed

    Don't know about XF or below but DEFINITELY AU5XRD's exist and are possibe.
