  • All three QB's are worthy of the award. I'm glad I don't have a vote in it, the decision would be difficult.

Tebow, and here's why (from ESPN.com):

But if the award were determined by strength of schedule, Tebow would be a landslide winner. In 13 games this season, Tebow faced eight of the country's top-30 defenses. In those eight games, Tebow completed 63 percent of his passes with 18 touchdowns and no interceptions. Nine of his 12 touchdown runs also came against top-30 defenses. Conversely, Bradford faced only two of the country's top-30 defenses, and nine that ranked 66th or worse. McCoy didn't face a defense ranked better than 65th and had his way with eight defenses ranked 86th or worse.

I'd say it will come down to either Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy or Tim Tebow. I've been wrong before, but I feel pretty good about this guess.

I say Tebow will win. Amazing thing is he will be back next year since he's not an NFL ready QB. I think I heard Mel Kuiper the other day suggesting Tebow should consider changing positions in the pros.
  • I think all two are great choices, however Tebow will win and here's why.

He'll get all the east coast votes, while Bradford and McCoy will split the western votes.

I personally would be happy with McCoy or Tebow, but not Bradford.

Bradford lost the Red River Rivalry to McCoy. No way he should win the Heismann after McCoy beat him in that game.

Tebow is the best of the three and the media has a hard on for him. Tebow hands down

I also would pick Tebow but there is little chance he is back next year. His morals and personal beliefs are the only reasons I would say there is even a chance of him returning next year. As an LSU fan, I surely hope he goes into the draft.

Bradford. OU was the highest scoring team in NCAA HISTORY, how can that not win you the heisman after directing the best offense of all time?

  • Tebow will be under pressure I'm sure from various sports agents urging him to go pro.

From a purely financial aspect going now would probably make a lot more sense than waiting until next year.

Of course with the Lions most likely having the #1 pick that could be a reason not to go. image

I'd vote for Bradford to win if I had a vote.

I would not want to vote this year

It can't be Tebow because ESPN keeps on advertising that tonight, the "Heisman Fraternity" will be welcoming a new member and unless I'm mistaken, Tebow is already a member. That, and ESPN is always right. image

That sounds logical, but that isn't how the voting has played out. Tebow will get the most #1 votes, but he won't win. Almost all cards that have either Bradford or McCoy as #1 have the other as #2 with Tebow being #3. Bradford will win.

nice call cornholio....the people that actually took some time to fill out the ballot probably voted for Tebow #1...everyone else just looked at stats and voted him 3rd.

The voters made the right call.

Stats did determine the voters decision this time--because the top three candidates all played the same position, they looked at the players individual stats.

"If the award were determined by strength of schedule", Tebow may have won, but we all know that the keyword in that case was "If"--and the answer was, it "isn't" determined by strength of schedule.

This award is about individual acheivements/success no matter who you are playing. You will never find multiple top players from across the country who all play identical strength of schedules--it just doesn't happen. You have no choice but to take the field against the teams that are on your conference schedule, and a limited number of non-conference opponents that are usually scheduled years in advance. Then the "chips fall where they may" and you see who did the best after the season is over.

Congrats to Bradford. That was a lot of TD passes this year!

  • Is Sam Bradford the long lost illegitimate child of Joe Pendleton?

Great pick. It was interesting to see how the voting went around the country.
