I know they make a cat bullion 1 oz silver coin. What years? Are there proof varieties? The wife and I are considering starting a collection of for our daughter from the year she was born(2004), but do they still make the cat silver bullions or just gold? If they still make the gold bullions what year did they start? Thanks

The 1988 Manx was the first I believe, and they have made them in proof for all years to present. They are made in Cu-Ni and very small numbers . The 88 Cu-Ni proof is mintage 250.

I think so, you can check the Pobjoy mint. I recently got a set of UNCs from danglen.

My wife asked our four year old tonight if she'd like coins with "Kitty cats", pandas or different animals each year(aussie bullion) and not surprisingly she said cats so the wife and I are going to start collection one for each year from the year she was born (2004). I may go ahead and get the other years in gold for myself. W thought about giving this to her as a gift someday as an adult and the wife and I agreed that if she ever decides she wants to sell it that we'll buy it from her. These things aren't that easy to find as it is.
