    Yes.

    and..........

If he responds correctly in the dispute-console, he can leave FB when the dispute is closed.

"Correct" responses from the NPB are:

    1. There is a problem with the product.

    2. There is a problem with the seller because (eg. he raised the shipping fee; he was rude to me; etc.)

If the NPB fails to respond to the dispute - or responds incorrectly - he cannot leave FB.

Any FB he leaves while the dispute is open will be removed, if he does not respond correctly to the dispute.

I removed this add on because it was wrong/unclear.

  • storm / thanks ........

Let me elaborate a bit .......
The dispute was opened for nonpayment after 10 days ......
The buyer eventually did pay ...... but it was in the form of a personal check(buyer has spotty feedback to boot) I sent the items immediately anyways just to get the quack off my case.
The buyer now claims he hasn't received the items and has hinted about leaving feedback.

The dispute is still open though..... as i didn't want to close it because of the personal check hasn't cleared ( value is very small)

sooooooooooo can i leave the dispute open indefinitely then ??........ (as i suspect the buyer is one of those unstable nut job scammers) and i don't want or need his feedback positive or negative!!!

    thanks in advance

    EBAY Timing Policy

Be aware of the timing for resolving your case, because there are windows for when you can open and close the case and be credited for certain fees.

You can open an unpaid item case in the Resolution Center 7-45 days after the sale if you don't receive payment from the buyer.

The buyer has up to 7 days to respond to your case.

You need to close your case within 60 days from the time of the transaction.

You're credited the Final Value Fee and your trading partner is reported to our Trust and Safety team.

On the 61st day after the end of the transaction, if you haven't closed your case, eBay automatically closes it and you are not credited the Final Value fee. Your trading partner isn't automatically reported to our Trust and Safety team.

Once your case is closed by you or eBay, you can't reopen the case.
