Jonathan Stewart red ink auto - ok Topps ....

Goot brought up the red ink Stewart auto last night in a different thread.

These red ink autos are supposedly #to 10 but without the hand numbering.

I've had a saved search for these since I got one and take a look every now and then to see what they sell for.

I'd always seen anywhere between 3 and 6 of these listed every time I have looked but I hadn't looked in a while until just now

Well, there are 10 of them listed right now, the most I've seen at one time. 3 are from one seller and 4 are from a different seller. All the autographs are different so they are not the same cards.

With 10 listed and only 10 in "existence", that would be all of them on ebay at the same time right?

Wrong, I have 1 sitting on my shelf image

Mike, Topps has had a NUMBER of problems like this over the past 3 years. I recall seeing a whole article on it, I think it was on Beckett's site but I don't recall.

I just sent Topps an email asking about this.

I believe everybody assumes there are only 10 of each but they are not numbered on the card and the sell sheet on their site doesn't mention any numbers. LOL it does say that the red ink autos are signed with a "Class of 2008" inscription but I've yet to see one that does.

There was an article in the last beckett about these cards, they are wildly popular but some are given away to the players at the photo shoots. You used to
be sure it was legit by the sticker on the back, but topps isn't doing that anymore. Population numbers are for the card that are found in packs, not the ones
handed out to players. This particular set is usually fine in football, but the basketball numbers are a mess!
