Any games that excite you? Boise State v. TCU should be good. I would prefer Boise playing a "big" school but oh well.
Shows you how bad the Pac 10 is as the Pac 10 #2 (Oregon) plays the Big 12 #4 (OK State) and I imagine OK State will be favored by a touchdown or more.
I think all the BCS games should be good. I am especially glad they pitted the two teams that really should not be in a BCS game together. Sure it makes the Organge Bowl more irrelevant but at least it might make for a good game.
I hope Hawaii continues the ND bowl streak!
I am glad the Rose Bowl has the tradition of Big 10 v. Pac 10... and I hope U$C ROLLS Penn State.

I remember one time they had Texas in the Rose Bowl and it just didn't seem right, I like the Pac-10, Big 10 tradition even though the
Pac 10 always seems to have an advantage playing closer to home.

If we're on the same page, the Big 10 wasn't in that game because that year was the national title game so bowl tie-ins kinda went out the window.

As for Joestalin above, I don't often agree with you, but I think you are right that Texas Tech got hosed. I hope they win big!
and come away with only two losses! Lets just admit is all about the money and stop pretending that there is any thought in it!

<< <i>Why wouldn't you put Texas V Texas Tech in the Cotton? Ohio State just plain sucks, there are 40 teams in the nation that could of played their schedule
and come away with only two losses! Lets just admit is all about the money and stop pretending that there is any thought in it!
JS >>
Texas is going to a BCS bowl, TT is not. Besides, who would care outside of Texas. Exactly how did TT get hosed? They are not eligible for a BCS game, so there are not a lot of good choices for them.
BTW, if Boise wants more respect, they need to play a real schedule. They went to Georgia a few years ago and were blown out by halftime. The might really be good, but one can not tell with the patsy schedue they play.
I find the comments on the board about the Rose Bowl to be interesting. There is talk about tradition-my tradition is that I watch it about once every five years. Boooooooooooooooooooring.
Yeah, that was the one, I guess they had to get the Rose Bowl into that whole BCS thing but it still just seemed strange seeing
them there.
-------------------------
Maybe I should not have said Texas Tech got "hosed" as it is what it is... but maybe they bowl system needs more flexibility!? Could Texas Tech have been selected for the Cotton Bowl? I don't know. It's not a BCS game. There are too many automatics. Would be nicer if the bowls could select teams that would make for a fun game.
As for the tradition of the Rose Bowl... if you grew up in the Big 10 or Pac 10 part of the country I imagine the Rose Bowl is more meaningful. I can tell you that up here in Nor Cal, the Bezerkely fans still badly want to go to the Rose Bowl... even if it means they are second in the Pac 10 (with USC going to the BCS championship). When that happens they will be flipping cars and starting riots in Bezerkely.
<< <i>Boise St. got hosed, ahead of Ohio St. in the BCS standings but no BCS bowl....nobody wants to see Ohio St. get rolled again by powerhouse school. I can't wait for Texas to hang 40 on them. >>
40 is about right then the 2nd half they can add too it. Too bad not 1 bowl game had enough balls to have boise st and utah play each other.
USC -6 vs. Penn St
Fed Ex Orange:
Cincy -3 vs. Va Tech
AT&T Cotton:
Texas Tech -11 vs. Ole Miss
Autozone Liberty:
Kentucky -5.5 vs. East Carolina
All State Sugar:
Alabama -7 vs. Utah
International:
Uconn -11.5 vs. Buffalo
Tositos Fiesta:
Texas -10 vs. Ohio St
National Championship: Florida -3.5 vs Oklahoma
Ahh, they went through the toughest divison in football with only one loss...THAT is how they got hosed!
Figures I don't hear from any Buckeye fans, they are laying low cause they know they shouldn't even be playing in January!

OK who should TT play? They can not go to a BCS game.

Sorry didn't see great powers like Cincy or Va Tech in there. How can Texas go, but not the team that beat them?

I'm confused, why couldnt Tech go to a BCS game?
The Texas Bowl is where it's at, baby! I will be attending my first ever Bowl Game this year to cheer on the Owls. Go Rice!!!

I look forward to this hometwon game every year. This one looks so exciting.
and also cincinnati cause thats where i live ( although they really arent good enough to play a BCS game except they won there division)
looking for 1964 topps baseball psa graded 7+
Texas got hosed in this whole deal and they will be looking to take that anger and frustration out on 1/5.

Only two BCS teams per conference. Texas and Oklahoma have BCS bids from the Big 12 already.
Can't have three BCS teams from one conference.

Thanks. I had no idea you couldn't have 3 from one conference. I know it's to split revenue up, but that's LAME. Put the best of the best out there!
I wish! Sadly Va-Tech, Cinci won their awful conferences and they get to go. Plus, imagine if Oregon State hadn't choked against Oregon they would have been the Pac 10 representative at the Rose Bowl. Sad. Should be the top 10 teams.
I like and agree with the Sagarin ranking as MOST years the Pac 10 is in the top 3 and usually the top 2.
Sadly I DO AGREE with it this year. It's just sad how far the Pac 10 has fallen.
I think it will be similar in hoops this year. Bad year for the Pac.

That's what happened to Missouri last year. They got left out in the cold and Kansas went to the Orange Bowl and won.
And to top it off, KU wasn't having too great of a year this year until they beat Missouri the last game of the year.
The only intriguing matchups for me this bowl season are Wisconsin vs Florida State (John Clay running all over the Seminoles), Georgia Tech vs LSU (GT putting up 400 rushing yards against LSU) and of course Oklahoma vs Florida.
I was going to say Georgia vs Michigan State, but Georgia choked this year and was way overrated once again. They'll have their hands full with the MichSt running game.
<< <i>What the hell is a magicJack? The corporate naming of these games is more distressing than the occasionally questionable selection process. >>
I think it is a phone company.
USC and Penn State
Oklahoma and Florida
Both these games should be excellent
now if some of the others were:
Texas and Alabama
Ohio State and Ole Miss
TTech and Utah
Perhaps there would be alittle more excitement in the BCS games...
I also think that I would have changed afew others:
Iowa and Mizzou
Northwestern and South Carolina
I would even say sending Minnesota to play Hawaii would be a better match up and let ND play Kansas
We obviously need a Bowl Oversight Committee to prevent a Bowl Rescue Plan
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
